Mission Critical Project Manager - Automated Logic

About the Role

As a Global Strategic Accounts – Mission Critical Project Manager for ALC, you will lead the execution, stabilization, and recovery of high-visibility, high-risk building automation projects globally. Free from regional boundaries, you will deploy on-site to support local branch teams and drive predictable outcomes in safety, schedule, quality, and financial performance. This role requires a strategic, execution-focused leader capable of managing complex, high-stakes project environments.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as an extension of ALC leadership, driving consistent project governance, execution standards, and customer experience across assigned projects.

Lead execution of large, complex, multi-million-dollar building automation programs, ensuring alignment to contract requirements, schedule milestones, and stakeholder expectations.

Own project financial performance, including budget management, EAC development, forecasting cadence, cost controls, and margin protection.

Develop and execute revenue recognition, billing, and cash-collection strategies in coordination with finance and branch leadership.

Establish project strategy and control plans (scope, schedule, quality, safety), including risk identification, mitigation, change control, and recovery planning.

Act as the primary escalation point for customers, general contractors, and internal leadership; drive timely decisions and clear communications.

Align cross-functional teams (engineering, field operations, subcontractors, vendors, and commissioning) to deliver coordinated execution and issue resolution.

Step into challenged or high-risk projects and lead stabilization/turnaround efforts, including schedule re-baselining and stakeholder re-alignment.

Establish and enforce best practices in project documentation, reporting, meetings, and executive communications.

Lead resource planning and deployment in coordination with regional and branch leadership to support critical path activities.

Provide leadership through critical phases such as mobilization, first-of-kind start-ups, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and customer turnover.

Mentor and develop project managers and field leadership through coaching, standard work, and lessons learned.

This is a remote role, with a strong preference for candidates located in the Northern Virginia / Dulles Airport corridor.
